Chip trained in performance, directing,  and  design, 
under the guidance of long time Peter Brook collaborator, 
Henry  Woolf,at the University of Saskatchewan. 
Soon after, Mr Chuipka co-founded  
three theatre companies in that province. 
Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan and 
The Saskatoon Soaps are now into  their 21st seasons.
